Renewal Groups

Family-sized gatherings of people seeking renewal; reshaping our hearts and minds around Jesus and His Kingdom.

What is a Renewal Group? A Renewal Group is a place to seek the life you crave on the inside. Do you ever feel like you are hollow on the inside… like you need something for your soul? Do you ever desire a consistent place of friendship and a place that is safe to share what is happening in your life? That is what a Renewal Group is for. What does renewal look like concretely in the life of our community? At the core of our mission of making apprentices of Jesus are these Family-sized groups (6-15 people) called Renewal Groups which gather weekly.

Current Series:
DRINKING FROM A DEEPER WELL…

Our current series is devoted to experiencing God through the lives / practices of Spiritual Giants of the past 2000 years. Some of these “Spiritual Giants” you have heard of and some you probably haven’t (St. Francis of Assisi, Frank Laubach, Jeanne Guyon, Henri Nouwen, St. Paul, etc.). Throughout this new Renewal Group series the question we will be keeping in mind is this: How does a person actually know and experience God? We won’t just talk about it… we will try out some practices / experiences.

Each week we’ll do three things together:
1) Eat a potluck dinner together (rotating dinner menu) during which we will catch-up with each other and share what is happening in our lives
2) Talk about the life of one “Spiritual Giant” and then read something short together written by this person which we can discuss.
3) Try out a spiritual practice suggested by our “Spiritual Giant” for the week as well as spend a few minutes in prayer together.
